Assuming you are connecting PC1 (desktop) and PC2 (laptop) to the router... the setup should look something like this:
Cable -----> Cable modem [Ethernet] -----> Router [WAN] -----> PC1 (port 1) PC2 (port2)
Insert the CD provided by Buffalo to the CD-ROM and run install, then follow the instructions for setup. If you have trouble for connecting the router, refer to the following website for more details

Once you have the cable connected as per the website shown above, follow the instructions to configure the router. Open IE and type
http://192.168.11.1, you will then be prompted by username and password. Username is [root] and password is [leave it blank, do not type anything], then hit OK
Check internet settings and make sure DHCP or Dynamic IP is selected. Follow the wizard and setup the wireless settings if necessary. Save the settings and launch IE to check internet connection.
If you still have trouble connecting, reboot the modem and router. Follow the steps below:
1. then turn off the router first.
2. wait for 5 seconds, then turn off your modem.
3, wait for another 5 seconds and turn your modem back on
4, wait for all solid green lights on the modem, then turn on your router.
Close all IE and re-open IE to see if internet is now connected.
