I gained a BA in Archaeology at Southampton, and an MA in Osteoarchaeology at Southampton. I worked as a project assistant with Wessex Archaeology during 2006.
I was seriously considering taking a totally different career path if no opportunities to analyse bones arose in the year after the MA. I desperately wanted to stay in the discipline, but didn't want to work in field archaeology for ages and forget all I'd learnt about osteology. I'd definitely like to develop a career in osteoarchaeology, hopefully involving some human and some faunal analysis; I'd also like to do a PhD.
