I can tell you what I know as I live in U.S. for 10 years. My two sons are university
students majoring in Molecular Biology because they want to be a pharmacist.

1. You can still attend your school in Hong Kong until you leave for U.S.
Before you leave, remember to ask your school to give you a letter
certifying that you are the F.6 student until -- the date you left.........
Bring all your school records and the vaccination papers since the date of
your birth.

There is no need to learn the so-called English course in Hong Kong. There is
a web site : www.collegeboard.com. which is an offical web site in U.S. mainly
for the students who are preparing to go to university. From this web site, you can
find an advising center in Hong Kong as follows:

You can consult this centre for your future study and get more information. Please
also go to the above web site every-day to get more information about your future
planning. You can register as a member for free. Be careful to find the university
which is certified in U.S. otherwise you would be miserable for your whole life.

Before you go to university, you must take the SAT TEST in U.S. But if you want
to repeat as a high school student for 12 grade, you can try to ask the high school
whether they accept you because you are already 19. In your situation, it is better
to repeat in 12 grade, because the SAT TEST is not so easy. You have to score
a required standard in order to go to a certified university. If your SAT SCORE is
not up to the standard, you may try the community college for two years. In two
years time, you may gain an associate degree for which you can be transferred
to a certified university for another two years to continue your study until you earn a 4 years degree.

等我幫你喔，我也是在讀完中六的時候去美國的，我住在加州，可能跟你要去的地方有不同，但我相同都是大同小異

1.如果你是移民的，即是你有綠卡，你就擁有報讀大學的權利，你只要去報名，然後考試，就可以入讀大學(那當然不是很出名那種私人大學啦，但都會是一般認可的公立大學)，並不需提出任何香港的成績表。而且，你不用擔心考不到，因為只要你考就可以入讀，你讀過中六一定得的了，他們最多會按你的英文程度要你加修英文科(English for second language)

2.你可以試下要求你現在讀的學校給你一個人情，後一年學位，假設你真的很不適應，想要回港，也有一條後路。即使你退學，也不需要在港讀英文，在美國很多給移民讀的英文班，有些甚至不用錢。

額外提提你：你初到美國頭一年，學費可能是當留學生的收費，即是可能要十萬一年，那時你就報讀大學以外的英文進修班。一年之後，你就可以用當地人的價錢報讀大學。但如果你急住畢業+錢不是問題，那就提議你立即入大學囉
