1). Frank's original seating plan for a concert to be held in his school hall has 20 rows with the same number of seats in each row. Later he finds that if he puts more seats in each row, he has to arrange 18 rows so that the total number of seats is not less than the original arrangement. What is the maximum number of seats in each row in Frank's original seating plan?

Assume originally there is x seats in each row
Then in the new plan, there is x+r in each rows (where r stands for number of seats which Frank puts in each row in the new plan)
According to the information
18(x+r)>=20x
x+r>=10x/9
r>=(1/9)x
x<=9r
So the maximum number of seats in each row in Frank's original seating plan is 9 times the number of seats which Frank puts in each row in the new plan
