Why do we need to learn Putonghua?

My answer is certain. It is very important to learn PTH.
1. I am a Chinese. We have the responsibility to be able to communicate in PTH, at least we can understand what people say.
2. I don't think learning PTH can promote our writing proficiency, but surely this help us to enjoy our life, say, watching PTH film without referring to the subtitles or the PTH songs.
3. We can have a greater chance of getting a job/ career/ promotion. As PTH is useful in many jobs when dealing wtih people. It is a part of our qualification.
4. We can do business with people whose mother tongue is PTH.
There are plenty of reasons...

大家都是炎黄子孙，何必如此区分香港和中国两个地方呢？
对，现在的香港人可能都忘记了祖祖辈辈们生活遗迹嘛，不是还留存很多传统啊~你们不是还在用繁体字嘛？闽南语，广东话不是还在大家的日常生活中使用吗？像中药调理身体，熬汤滋补不是还天天喝嘛？……
我承认现在香港的经济发展的非常好，内地整体的经济发展真的不如香港！不要忘记我们身上遗传着同样的血脉！看看你的姓吧！！！查查自己的同性人，那是祖宗的标志~~~~
