NOTAMNOTAM or NoTAM is the quasi-acronym for a "Notice To Airmen". NOTAMs are created and transmitted by government agencies under guidelines specified by Annex 15: Aeronautical Information Services of the Convention on International Civil Aviation. A NOTAM is filed with an aviation authority to alert aircraft pilots of any hazards en route or at a specific location. The authority in turn provides means of disseminating relevant NOTAMs to pilots. NOTAMs are issued (and reported) for a number of reasons, such as:
hazards such as air-shows and parachute jumpsflights by important people such as heads of stateclosed runwaysinoperable radio navigational aidsmilitary exercises with resulting airspace restrictionsinoperable lights on tall obstructionstemporary erection of obstacles near airfields (e.g. cranes)passage of flocks of birds through airspace (a NOTAM in this category is known as a BIRDTAM)software code risk announcements with associated patches to reduce specific vulnerabilities Aviation authorities typically exchange NOTAMs over AFTN circuits.
Software is available to allow pilots to identify NOTAMs near their intended route or at the intended destination.

機 管 局 表 示 ， 由 本 港 飛 往 廣 州 、 上 海 及 杭 州 等 地 的 航 班 ， 暫 時 未 受 影 響 。

有 內 地 傳 媒 報 道 ， 廣 州 昨 日 有 50 多 班 航 班 受 到 延 誤 ， 6000 多 名 旅 客 滯 留 機 場 ， 部 分 旅 客 要 通 宵 等 候 ， 暫 時 未 知 實 施 空 中 管 制 的 原 因 。

民航處表示，他們今早接獲廣州的通知，由於實施空中管制措施，暫未知措施維持時間。

機管局表示，由本港飛往廣州、上海及杭州等地的航班，暫未受影響。

內地傳媒報道，由於華東地區空中管制的原因，從昨日早上起，白雲機場飛往南昌、上海、青島、南京、杭州、 連雲港、景德鎮、大連等十餘班班機均被通知延誤，延誤時間從半小時到四五個小時不等，受影響旅客逾6000多人。
