left係leave既p.p.，
但係are left係解剩下，
咁如果我寫
the carbon dioxide in the water left when the water boiled.
係解d cardon dioxide 剩下定係走左？

咁就要睇下你點用啦~
一般黎講~ is/ are left係指一D指被留下來~係一個被動式
left係一個character主動地離開左~ (leave的past tense)
在呢度黎講~因為只有carbon dioxide呢個主角~而冇其他人的存在~
所在應該係指"離開左"~
原因係因為water boil的時候~個heat will create a pressure and the gas inside the water will be vapourized away.
