Simple Maths

This is a geometric sequence.
The first term of the sequence is 2, the common ratio is 3.
The general term T(n) is 2 (3)^(n - 1)

You may check the above result:
T(1) = 2 (3)^(1 - 1) = 2
T(2) = 2 (3)^(2 - 1) = 2 x 3 = 6
T(3) = 2 (3)^(3 - 1) = 2 x 9 = 18
T(4) = 2 (3)^(4 - 1) = 2 x 27 = 54

.

You may also express the pattern by a recursive formula,
For n = 1, a(1) = 2.
For n ≥ 2, a(n) = 3 x a(n - 1)

You may check the above result:
a(1) = 2
a(2) = 3a(1) = 3 x 2 = 6
a(3) = 3a(2) = 3 x 6 = 18
a(4) = 3a(3) = 3 x 18 = 54
a(5) = 3a(4) = 3 x 54 = 162
