it really depends what part of America you are going to stay insmall town = boring + less spending
big city = exciting + a lot of money
in some big cities, people might not like other races but they would not hurt you as long as you don't mess with them.
in the small towns, people actually like you because they would like to know more about our country and culture.
just be careful of what you say. be polite. and you should be fine. we are all human beings after all :)
it is kinda hard to find job. you need to get a job then the company will help you to apply a working visa. so it is kinda complicated. find a job first. i think find some international companies in Hong Kong get a position in America. then you can move and work there. Other than that, it is going to be difficult
to apply a visa you should look at this website http://hongkong.usconsulate.gov/
it should tell you enough.
