My daughter will be turning 13 and I'm affraid I'm not sure what to get her. What do kids that age like. She's not into much would like to give her something that would stimulate her mind. I've asked her and she just says "I dunno" What kind of things are good kids into these days?

A FEW IDEAS:

An Ipod- Can listen to music and play games on them (also good for long trips).

A good book (Any Nicholas Sparks, Devotional Book)

An instrument would be awesome!!! (maybe a guitar, harmonica, or piano---if you think it's something she'd want to do) ---Instruments help kids do better in school and it's a great hobby for them to take up.

If she's into sports, you could always get her some sporting equipment.

Board Games are always Great Ideas too:
Password, Guestures, Pictionary, Taboo, or any other game that is fun and will still make her think and have good quality fun.

Rollerblades or A bicycle are always fun and will get her more active.

If you're wanting to take her somewhere, you could take her to a Christmas play or musical.

Well I hope some of these ideas have helped out. Good Luck!!!

My parents always said when I have children and I don't know what to give them (especiallly teen or older), give them money....It works all the time..There won't be any disappointments of facial expressions.

Maybe you could arrange for the two of you to spend the day together, and she can buy or do anything she wants. . . sort of a "Queen for a Day" idea. I recall being indifferent to everything at that age, but it still meant a lot when my parents would single me out from my siblings and take me to dinner or whatever. Take the day off work and goof off at the mall with her, get makeovers, or whatever she wants to do.

When i turned 13 my mum and dad bought me my 1st real gold jewelry set consisting of A couple of rings, a necklace and a gorgeous bracelet, they also gave me money to get bits for myself. it all depends what your daughter is into????? is she a girly girl into her make-up or would she sooner sit in front of a computer. check out ebay to see if you can get some more ideas, good luck!

Well I'm 14 so I can tell you somethings I asked for. I asked for clothes(I like hollister), Uggs boots, a new cell phone(sidekick), Money, A name plate neclace, a coach bag(very popular pocketbooks for this age), makeup and things like that. I already have an iPod, but if she doesn't have one, she would probably love that. I also just got a Laptop, costly but worth it. She would love it.

Good luck! Hope she gets what she wants. My mom asked me to make her a list of the things I want, try asking her to do that for you.

Depends on what she likes and the activites she enjoys doing. When I was 13 I always liked cute clothes and earings or necklaces. But I didnt always like the ones that were picked out. Why dont you have her come shopping with you and see what kinds of clothes and stuff shes into. Music is always good too. Or a digital camera, if she doesn't have one.

How about some good reading material. There are many good books that will help her expand her mind and entertain her at the same time. Check out Boarders or any good book store. You can get a discount card and you will safe if you go in often. Good luck.

My son and his friends are into the Ipod's and upgraded cell phones, and of course a computer. You could get her a makeover at a spa with facial, hair, nails, make her feel pretty.
