可將語言學應用在發音上，使學生了解英文發音的部位和方法。學生必須要認識發音器官和結構，老師才能教導學生正確的發聲位置。當學生了解發音器和結構時，老師就能使用發音部位圖教學生發音。

A teacher can apply linguistics to pronunciation teaching to make students understand the pronoucning parts and the methods of pronouncing. Students have to know the organs of pronunciation and their structures so that the teacher can teach students how to use the correct verbal organs to pronounce. When students know the pronouncing parts and their structures, the teacher can use the illustration of the speech organs to teach students to pronounce.
