what is the difference between by accident & accidentally?

by accident is actually an adv I met my old friend at the LRT by accident.

i mean by accident, not accident!! of course i know 'accident' is a noun!!!

accidentally - 意外地 發生既事

No difference in meaning, by accident = accidentally

E.g.
I have pressed that button by accident.
I have accidentally pressed that button.

the 'accident ' in 'by accident' is a noun
accidentally is an adverb
