According to this file on page 4, you need IELTS with a minimum of 6.5 on the Academic Modules or TOEFL iBT overall score off 88 with minimum score of 20 each of each component or TOEFL CBT minimum of 230 with essay score of 4.5 or TOEFL CBT minimum of 250 or you could complete SFU English Bridge Program (a 10 weeks program).

In Vancouver, there is also UBC - which they require the applicant/students to finish the LPI (Language Proficiency Index). This test is quite difficult. You could take the test unlimited times - as long as you pay for the fee. You have to pass this test at the required time. Or else you would be 'ask' to leave the school.

To be honest with you, I don't know what is EMI. I never heard of it in any Canadian universities that take the EMI as their requirement. You might better get TOEFL or IELTS. They are more well known to Canadian school requirements.

You might have better chance to get into a university in Ontario. As in British Columbia (including Vancouver) there are only 4 universities. While in Ontario, only Toronto has over 3/4 universities. As the supply of universities in Ontario is larger, some of the smaller and less famous Ontario university has lower requirements.

This is ALL the universities in Ontario - there are over 20 of universities. Of course, some of them are not as famous as the others and with lower requirements.
