Usually, 512Mb to 1 G would be optimize for running Windows XP. If your machine is not new, i.e. P III or Celeron, just use 512Mb RAM is enough since more RAM cannot improve the performance obviously.

Also, you need to check the MAX and config of RAM that your motherboard support.

如是P3 800,加 RAM都無用,因CPU太慢.應付唔到XP.只可行ME或98.
