That= 那個/那
Those=那些/那
This=這個/這
These=這些/這

基本上佢地特別無分為用黎指物或食物, 因為佢地都可以用黎指物件or 人。
而佢地ge 用法多數都係用黎指出/表達出位置.

你可以簡單地將佢地分為兩組
1. that 及those---> 那
2. this 及these---->這

‧that 和those 的不同是, that 是用作表達單數的( that person=那個人; that apple=那個蘋果), 而those 是用作表達眾數的(those people=那些人; those apples= 那些蘋果)

‧this 及these 的不同亦一樣, this 是用作表達單數的( this person=這個人; that apple=這個蘋果), 而those 是用作表達眾數的(those people=這些人; those apples= 這些蘋果)


＊就從中文解釋都可以睇得出, that 及those( 那個/那些) 所指出的位置應該係相對地離自己較遠ge。而this 及these( 這個/這些) 所指出的位置應該係相對地離自己較近ge。

另外一d examples:
This is our classroom.
這是我們的課室.
That is your book.
那是你的書.
That book on the table is yours.
那本在檯上的是你的書.
Those apple are mine.
這些蘋果都是我的.
I feel sick in these days.
這幾天我感到不適.

係上面果堆例子入面, that/those/this/these 都可以隨住環保ge 唔同而轉....例如最尾果句
I felt sick in these days.
這幾/這些天我感到不適.
可以改為:
I felt sick in those days.
那幾/那些天我感到不適.

近住自己的object(s)而係單數, 就用this.
不在自己旁邊的object(s)而係單數, 就用that.
近住自己的object(s)而係複數, 就用these.
不在自己旁邊的object(s)而係複數, 就用those.

That = 那個
This = 這個
These = 這些
Those = 那些

That and this: 單數用
These and those: 複數用
