The saying might be true in some extent, say, with a 50% in percentage.
But, there is an exception, like, bad parents with good children , good
parents with bad children and, good parents with good children. The behavior of a child is not merely influenced
by his/her parents, but also by the society, including school education,
neighborhood, friends, etc, especially the in-born nature which is no doubt
the No.1 influence.

會有影響,但唔一定係.
每個人都有自我督促自己的義務,
每個人都應該自我檢討.不能全怨父母。
