2.(a) 0.4 x 0.4 x 0.4 = 0.064
2.(b) 0.4 x 0.6 x 0.4 = 0.096
2.(c) case1 --- hit the 1 st and the 2nd but miss the 3rd shot
case 2 --- hit the 1st and 3rd but miss the 2nd shot
case 3 --- hit the 2nd and 3rd but miss the 1 st shot
therefore 0.096 x 3 = 0.288
