'Cheers ' doesn't mean 'thank you'. It's more like 'bye' , 'bye for now' in an informal way. You can also see people write in email or informal letter among friends e.g.
Hi Mary,
(blar..blar...blar......) (content of letter or email)

加油, 俾心機, 係廣東話的說法, 英文多數用 Do your best, try your effort, work harder 鼓勵人用功去做
Cheers 普遍用於祝酒的時候, 有祝你健康的意思, 亦可以向人道別時講, such like: Cheers! See you tomorrow! 多數係朋輩之間 熟朋友至親之間用, 如果係formal 一些, 同老師老細, 長輩, 唔多熟的朋友, 普通客套d都係用goodbye!
