When PRESENT TENSE, we use is (for he, she, it), am (for I), are (for we, they)

And we use them in these form:

She is a girl. (She won't change to a boy suddenly, she is a girl forever, so that we use PRESENT TENSE)

Q: DOSE she like swimming?
A: She LIKES swimming

She ALWAYS GETS up late. (When we see the words ALWAYS, USUALLY, NEVER, OFTEN, we usually use present tense)

When PAST TENSE, we use was (for he, she, it, I), are (for we, they)
And we use them in this form:

She went to school yesterday. (When we see the words YESTERDAY, LAST week LAST month, LAST year, THthe day BEFORE, the week BEFORE, the year BEFORE, we usually use past tense)
