Please help me to solve the questions about molar volume. Thx a lot.

1) 1.35g of a certain compound vaporized at room condition were found to occupy 524cm^3. What is the molar mass of the compound.

2) A vessel of volume 500cm^3 contains 1.48 g of a certain gas at room temperture and pressure. Find
(a) number of moles of the gas
(b) number of molecules of the gas
(c)molar mass of the gas

By Avogadro’s Law, 1 mole of gas occupy 24.0 dm3 of volume in room condition.

1. No. of mole of the compound

= Volume / Molar volume

= 524 / 24 000

= 0.0218 mol

Molar mass of the compound

= Mass / No. of mole

= 1.35 / 0.0218

= 61.8 gmol-1

2. Number of mole

= Volume / Molar volume

= 500 / 24 000

= 0.0208 mol

b. Number of molecules

= No. of mole X Avogadro’s number

= 0.0208 X (6.02 X 1023)

= 1.25 X 1022

c. Molar mass

= Mass / No. of mole

= 1.48 / 0.0208

= 71.04 gmol-1
