Let no. of student plaing table tennis be x,.... football be y,
x=3y --------------------(1)
x-12=y+12 -----------------(2)
Put (1) into (2),
3y-12=y+12
2y=24
y=12
Put it into (1),
x=3(12)
=36

4(25-x) = 55+x
100-4x = 55+x
5x = 45
x = 9
