Dell notebook 自動熄機, why?

There are so many reason for a notebook to turn off automatically..

- your battery may run low, so it refuse to continue to run and switch off once you startup, try to plug in power cable whenever you can to recharge.
- there is a setting call Power Option in Control Panel. Its the setting for auto turn off your monitor or Harddisks after a period of time. You may want to change the setting to NEVER
- with DELL, it also provides another software that do the same thing as Window Power Option...but forgot the name of it, it normally reside in your system tray at the bottom right corner.

If after these setting been set, and the problem still occurs, it would probably means 1) over heat or 2) your battery is bad..

your notebook is only 3 months old, call them in for a hardware check bah.. its free under warranty anyway...and even get a new battery...

If no virus was found, auto turn off is not related to O/S and application.
It should be related to the Hardware, such as CPU fan, battery pack and motherboard.
1: Touch the ventilated device see whether it is overheat. If yes, you need call Dell service.
2: Otherwise, the mainboard of your laptop or the battery pack may be bad.
You can unplug the battery pack 1st, then use the AC power adapter to run the laptop. If no auto turn off from happening again, your battery pack is failure and you just need to call Dell for replacing the battery.
3: Otherwise, should be the mainboard problem.

Generally, before the technician onsite or carry in by youself, Dell will request you to restore the factory settings, include both H/W and O/S. So you need backup all your data before calling the Dell service.
