I think it's better to say like, 'Yes, Tom's hobby is the same as mine' or 'Yes, Tom has the same hobby as I have.'
usually we use 'the same...as'

That's 'OKAY' but kinda awkward....
Put it this way: Yes, Tom and I share the same hobby.
