Name of lead unit (if known) at the time the class is identified. Otherwise a Western identifier assigned by reference catalogers. The number in parentheses following the class name is the official project identifier, where known, occasionally simplified.

Well-known and well known are both correct. It only depends on the sentence structure.

Usually well-known is used before a noun or noun phrase to describe the thing: She is a well-known artist.

Whereas well know is usually used as a predicate: The restaurant is well known for its friendly atmosphere and excellent service.
