本研究的主題為香港青少年賭博行為之探討。希望能從研究中能找出香港現今的一般青少年對於賭博行為的成因，以及期望可發現導致青少年賭博行為之各種因素。研究針對家庭因素和同儕所帶來的影響，以及比較男女賭博這偏差行為。最後研究會作出各建議協助政府、教師及家長等一同推行預防青少年賭博行為的教育活動，以減少賭博風氣荼毒香港的青少年。
本研究是採用質化研究方法，深入訪談作探究。試圖找出賭博這偏差行為之成因。以筆者的朋友群和曾就讀之中學中抽樣作深入訪談。把各受訪者的資料收集，所得研究發現如下:
一、青少年因欠缺有益的休閒活動
二、青少年因欠缺金錢，希望藉賭博以來賺取收入
三、青少年因家庭和朋友群中有賭博行為而參與賭博
四、青少年因欠缺適當的指導產生賭博行為
五、青少年錯誤理解賭博行為的本質
最後研究著重建議政府、家長、教師及傳播媒體等應共同努力，推行各種教育措施及活動以預防青少年這偏差行為。
