Milk protein coagulates at low pH.
1. In which part of the alimentary canal does this coagulation occur?
2. Suggest why thecoagulation of milk protein can facilitate its digestion in that part of the alimentary canal.

Coagulation takes place in the stomach.


Coagulated milk protein, being in semi-solid form, can be retained in the stomach for a longer period of time
for the protease to digest it.
