溶劑分為2類
-水性
-油性(非水性/非極性)
有機溶濟即油性溶劑 同水性溝唔埋 但係同油性就得..
絕大部份油性溶劑具揮發性.
所以可以定義做:
有機溶劑之定義：

有機溶劑是指在正常溫度及氣壓下為揮發性液體，而且具有溶解其他物質特性之[[有機化合物]]。

而有機化合物 唔單係指含碳 有例外的

有機溶劑於「有機溶劑中毒預防規則」之定義如下：

一、 第一種有機溶劑

1. 三氯甲烷 Trichloromethane
2. 四氯乙烷 Tetrachloroethane
3. 四氯化碳 Tetrachloromethane
4. 1,2-二氯乙烯 1,2-Dichloroethylene
5. 1,2-二氯乙烷 1,2-Dichloroethane
6. 二硫化碳 Carbon disulfide
7. 三氯乙烯 Trichloroethylene
8. 僅由1至7列舉之物質之混合物。


二、 第二種有機溶劑

1. 丙酮 Acetone
2. 異戊醇 Isoamyl alcohol
3. 異丁醇 Isobutyl alcohol
4. 異丙醇 Isopropyl alcohol
5. 乙醚 Ethyl ether
6. 乙二醇乙醚 Ethylene glycol monoethyl ether
7. 乙二醇乙醚醋酸 Ethylene glycol monoethyl ether acetate
8. 乙二醇丁醚 Ethylene glycol monobutyl ether
9. 乙二醇甲醚 Ethylene glycol monomethyl ether
10. 鄰-二氯苯 o-Dichlorobenzene
11. 二甲苯(含鄰-，間-，對-異構物) Xylenes (o-， m-， p- isomers)
12. 甲酚 Cresol
13. 氯苯 Chlorobenzene
14. 乙酸戊酯 Amyl acetate
15. 乙酸異戊酯 Isoamyl acetate
16. 乙酸異丁酯 Isobutyl acetate
17. 乙酸異丙酯 Isopropyl acetate
18. 乙酸乙酯 Ethyl acetate
19. 乙酸丙酯 Propyl acetate
20. 乙酸丁酯 Butyl acetate
21. 乙酸甲酯 Methyl acetate
22. 苯乙烯 Styrene
23. 1,4-二氧陸圜 1,4-Dioxane
24. 四氯乙烯 Tetrachloroethylene
25. 環己醇 Cyclohexanol
26. 環己酮 Cyclohexanone
27. 1-丁醇 1-Butyl alcohol
28. 2-丁醇 2-Butyl alcohol
29. 甲苯 Toluene

37. 1,1,2-三氯乙烷 1,1,2-Trichloroethane
38. 丁酮 Methyl ethyl ketone
39. 二甲基甲醯胺 N,N-Dimethylformamide
40. 四氫 喃 Tetrahydrofuran
41. 正己烷 n-Hexane
42. 僅由1至41列舉之物質之混合物。


三、 第三種有機溶劑

1. 汽油 Gasoline
2. 煤焦油精 Coal tar naphtha
3. 石油醚 Petroleum ether
4. 石油精 Petroleum naphtha
5. 輕油精 Petroleum benzine
6. 松節油 Turpentine
7. 礦油精 Mineral spirit (Mineral thinner， petroleum spirit， white spirit)
8. 僅由1至7列舉之物質之混合物


四、 第一種有機溶劑混存物：指有機溶劑混存物中，含有第一種有機溶劑佔該混存物重量5%以上者。

五、 第二種有機溶劑混存物：指有機溶劑混存物中，含有第二種有機溶劑或第一種有機溶劑及第二種有機溶劑之和佔該混存物重量5%以上而不屬於第一種有機溶劑混存物者。

六、 第三種有機溶劑混存物：指第一種有機溶劑混存物及第二種有機溶劑混存物以外之有機溶劑混存物。
