too much is for uncountable nouns, it means 太多
e.g. You have prepared too much water for the trip.
too many also means 太多, but is for countable nouns
e.g. There are too many apples on the table.
so much means 很多 或者 非常, it's for uncountable nouns, that means there are plenty, but NOT TOO much
e.g. Thank you so much.
There is so much water.
so many again, for countable nouns, it only means 很多
e.g. There are so many ducks in the lake!
a lot of and lots of have the same meaning, both of them mean 很多, but a lot of is formal, lots of is informal.
e.g. I have a lot of pens.
I have lots of pens.
Both of them can be used, but depending on whom you are speaking/writing to.
