回應番你最後既問題:其實只要句句子係有兩個人就要用are,唔理佢有無 Iam 只要得一個人 係 I 後面

Nah, I don't think there are any further exceptions. The answer is 'are', and that's it.

UNLESS, well, you'd brobably know this, but unless you mix 'Mary' and 'I' into one subject-ish...thing (darn my english suck xD), then you can use 'is' or 'was'.

--> 'We are sailing in the afternoon.'

Yeah....empty sentence XP. I know you knew this already LoL.

The answer is "are".
Because the sentence mentioned that "Both Mary and I", that means there are two people. Also, two people are in plural form, so it is "are".
參考: myself

are
因為 Mary and I 即係 They, 所以用 are .
2007-10-21 9:01 am
are
because there are two people ,Mary and I so cannot use is or am
參考: me

probably use "are"
參考: myself
