This book is named “Alien at School”. As implied by the name, readers can learn that this book is about alien found in the school. We all know that there is still a question whether there are aliens in the space. So, from the book name, we can know that the story must be full of imagination, especially about aliens.
I like the book of imagination very much. Because these books are usually amazing and interesting with the fantasy designed by the writers.
This book is begun from the exciting start of a high school at Jefferson High. The main character of this story is called Jennifer Dale, who lives in a small town near Boston. She and her school friends, Dana, Steve and Paul discover that they have some weird new teachers. Mr. Stone, the English teacher, is particularly strange. He has black hair and green eyes. His nose is small and pointed, and he has strangely high cheekbones. He is cold and his voice is metallic and monotonous. Another new teacher is a young handsome man, Mr. Adam. He is tall and thin. He has blond hair and brown eyes. He seems friendly. So Jennifer and her friends like Mr. Adam more.
Soon, Jennifer and her friends find that there are strange clues of Mr. Stone. He sits away from the other teachers and he doesn’t have a normal lunch. There is a glass in front of him. It is full of dense, green liquid. There are some black pills in his hand. He put two of them in the glass. The green liquid starts to bubble, and it changes color: it starts to become red. Then he takes the glass and drinks the mysterious red formula. They are disgusted and frightened. Jennifer thinks that there is something strange about Mr. Stone. So she goes to visit Paul, who is very interested in astronomy, the occult, and life on other planets. There, Jennifer is shocked when Paul tells the latest news that he finds from the Internet. A comet and a constellation have crossed paths, and space experts know this means the possibility of alien encounters. Jennifer exclaims that Mr. Stone was an alien! And then they discuss to find out the truth.
The next morning before school, Jennifer sees that Mr. Stone is doing something seems to be strange. This makes Jennifer feel more confused and excited. After she discusses with Paul, they decide to follow Mr. Stone after school. By the time, an electric shock runs through Jennifer and she jumps in the Science lesson. In the end of the lesson, Mr. Adam tells her the reason of that electric prosthesis. As a result, she doesn’t feel strange about that.
When the school day finished, Paul and Jennifer follow Mr. Stone quietly until they see him go into a house. They climb up to the window and carefully look inside. They find that the teacher is totally bald, and his head is covered with disgusting, brown warts. Suddenly, Mr. Stone notices them from the reflection in his mirror. He calls them to go into his house for a talk. They are scared and nervous.
After listening to Mr. Stone’s sad story, they totally change their mind and try to help him, and immediately tell the story to their friends. However, questions soon come out: is there any alien in the high school? If yes, who is the alien?

I love this book very much. The story is amazing and exciting. It is easy to understand as the words used are simple and there are colorful pictures to attract readers to read it continuously. There are also some photos in the passages between each chapter. They make me feel wonderful as I can look at them to know more details about the passages. On the whole, I think that this book is fantastic and it is suitable for secondary students to read, in order to improve our English!
