同性戀在現今社會和眾人眼裡仍然不合道德標準。因為大多數人都先入為主認為男配女，女配男，這種配搭才是宣揚戀愛的一種方式，因此同性戀在世俗之中並未普及，別人看到同性戀亦會感到反感，因為這與眾人的戀愛的定義有所出入。所以同性戀現時仍不合道德標準，但日後隨著思想的開放，相信同性戀再不會被道德標準所規範。
