the length of an airport runway must be long enough for jet planes to accelerate from rest to a take off speed of 720km/h .suppose the jet plane accelerates uiformly at 10m s^-2 along a straight line.find the minimum length of the runway.

Using the equation of motion: v^2 = u^2 + 2.a.su = 0 m/s, v = 720 km/h (is it real??) = 200 m/s,
a = 10 m/s^2 (quite a large acceleration, is it true??)
s =?
thus, 200^2 = 2x10.(s)
s = 2000 m = 2 km
