The result so obtained will not be accurate. The main reasons are:
1. The heating element of the immersion heater may not be in good contact with the wood, thus not all heat produced by the heater will be absorbed by the wood.
2. Wood is a poor conductor of heat, there bound to be non-uniform distribution of temperature within the wood. The temperature as measured by the thermometer may not accurately indicate the actual temperature of the wood.

浸沒式電熱器(Immersion Heater)???

怎樣加熱舊木?? "浸"落舊木到嗎?

若要好像教科書裡加熱金屬咁, 係舊木度鑽孔來放浸沒式電熱器和温度計, 也是不行.
因為木是熱的絕緣體, 很難提升它的溫度,

所以...

1. 要做很久,

2. 長時間加熱舊木, 等於長時間讓舊木和浸沒式電熱器散熱於周圍(Heat lost to surroundings), 故誤差很大.
