五級樂理要識既orchestra instrument(20點)

You only need to know that there are 4 families the the orchestra. They are:

strings: violin, viola, cello, double bass
woodwind: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon
brass: horn,trumpet, trombone, tuba
percussion: timpani(kettledrum), side drum,bass drum, cymbals
You should also know the kind of instruments that use the following clefs:

treble clef: violin, flute, clarinet, horn,(sometimes use bass clef), trumpet
alto clef: viola(sometimes use treble clef);
bass clef: cello(sometimes use treble clef), double bass, bassoon, trombone(sometimes use tenor clef), tuba.
*string instruments can sometimes play two note simultaneously( or even 3 or 4, which is harder).Wind instruments, however, can play only one at a time*.
