Calcium chloride AND Potassium chloride??

Put the two chemicals into two separate test tubes.

Then, dissovle them by distilled water separately.


Add some potassium sulphate solution into the two test tubes.


The one which gives white precipitates is calcium chloride. (As calcium sulphate formed is insoluble in water)

CaCl2(aq) + K2SO4(aq) → CaSO4(s) + 2KCl(aq)

The one which has no reaction is potassium chloride.

Are you asking just simply identify BETWEEN CaCl2 and KCl?
If yes, just simply using a flame test.
CaCl2 will give out brick red flame while
KCl will give out lilac flame.
