When z is devided by 7 and then 5 is added to it,the result is 18.find z.

there are (4)$10 conis and (y)$2 inside a bag. If the value of the bag is $58,find y.

David bought (11) ball pens for $12 each and (y)pencils for $7 each.If David paid $237 in total,find y.

z/7=13
z=91

4*10+2y=58
2y=18
y=9

11*12+7y=237
7y=105
y=15

Let x be the first even number
x+x+2+x+4=60
3x=54
x=18
The three numbers are 18,20,22

Let x be the first odd number
x+x+2+x+4=105
3x=99
x=33
The three numbers are33,35,37

Let x be the first number
x+x+1+x+2-4x=1
-x=-2
x=2
The three numbers are 2,3,4

2)4*10+y*2=58 y*2=18 y=9
3)11*12+y*7=237 7y=105 y=15

x+(x+2)+(x+4)=60 3x=54 x=18
So the three consecutive numbers are 18,20and22

2)40+2y=58 y=9
3) 132+7y=237 y=15

LET y be the first consercutive number

y+ y+2 + y + 4= 60
3y=54
y=18

So three numbers is 18, 20, 22

LET y be the first consercutive number

y+ y+2 + y + 4= 105
3y=99
y=33

So the three numbers is 33 35 37

LET z be the first consercutive number

Z+ Z+2 + z+4 - 4z=1
3z-4z=-5
z=5
