I think that's a good start but a couple of tips to share:

- limit your daily list of vocabulary to say 10 (there is no use marking a lot of words which you are unlikely to use/remember);
- shortlist vocabulary to those which you will likely use (eg very technical/legalistic words should not be high on your priority list);
- try making one or two sentences with the new word- this will help you remember it/them better because you are "using" them!
