The above anwers were ok, but I found one or two mistakes. Here are my responses:-

1) We ate a big lunch this afternoon.
2) I saw you in the shopping centre yesterday.
3) Polly studied English in this school three years ago.
4) You were very hard-working last year.
5) David travelled to Japan last Christmas.
