Was the specturm from a light bulb same as the mercury lamp?

They are different.
Ordinary light bulb is hot tungsten filament, which emits a wide spectrum in visible range of light. But mercury lamp's spectrum is concentrated in after the blue region of visible range to ultra-violet range of light. So their spectrum are different.

No, because light bulb is cheaper than mercury lamp.
