In reference to last year's jupas' data:
BSc Nursing (Poly U)
Median - CD DD(AL) D(AS)
Lower Quartile - ED CDD
BSc Nursing (HKCU)
Median - DD CC(AL) E(AS)
Lower Quartile - BE DDE
BSc Nursing (HKU)
Median - DE CD(AL) DE(AS)
Lower Quartile - DD CDE
As nursing degree in all three institutes will usually have >100 seats, the probability is not bad. (i.e. Median = 50th person, LQ = 75th person). Admission grades for all 3 institutes are similar, so priority should go with the number of seats offered.
As for BA Catering, Hotel and Tourism Management (Hotel Management) offered by Poly U, last year's grades are:
Median - DD BB(AL) AC(AS)
Lower Quartile - CB AE(AL) D(AS)
Grades have been lowered comparing with past few years, but the probability is not high. The LQ has got A and E respectively from the AL subjects. Besides, this subject takes in quite a large number of non-JUPAS applicants (those are ppl from International Schools / came back from places like UK, Canada, US). So seats for jupas applicants are not as much as listed.
Actually, with your results, some pure science subjects might suit you. But please take note that some pure programmes like biotech and biochem are not easy to enter. Also, you may choose some programmes which have more seats (e.g. >80-100) and their entry requirements are not really high. (like nursing that u have chosen)
Nursing can be studied in many places, for those from universities(degree) , graduates would become a registered nurse (RN). Which is different from an Enrolled Nurse( EN). So when you are choosing nursing programmes from other institutes, please notice if they are offering EN or RN programme.
