signed potters raise thousands

A British charity has sold a complete oh Harry Potter books autographed by their author J.K. Rowling on eBay for $289799.

Bidding for the seven books on the online auction site closed at midnight after a starting offer of $100.said Claire Newman,development director of Books Abroad.

Rowling's mother-in-law,Barbara ,works for the Scottish charity that supplies books to schools worldwide.

"The lot received 63 bids."Ms newman said,adding:"we don't have any specific use for the money in mind." The indentity of the buyer was not disclosed.

Rowling donated the books as part of the charity's 25th anniversary celebrations. The first in the series,Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone,was published in 1997. The final and the Deathly Hallows,was released in July.

This piece of news is about a charity in britain ,cooperated with Rowling, put a complete set of Harry potter series to eBay. The money earned from selling books will be given to help those children. Moreover, mother-in-law of Rowling will give books to different schools for charitable use.

From the news, I think it is another way to raise fund from others. It is a special method to have our attention aroused through the internet. However, there is a doubt that 'will the money can safely be given to those poor children who don't recieve any education?' and 'can the charity get the money from those unknown buyers?'. Therefore, I think the charity should get well prepare before the books are sold.

I think it is not a good news of bidding it from the net.
But is is good of using it for the chairity.
I think the money of the chairity can be used for children,
the sick and the poor.
And this is good for us to learn.
