12^(2x+1) = 8^(3x)
Both side take log(assume you have learned log in the school, if not you may self-learn it on the Internet)
(2x+1)log 12 = (3x)log 8
2x+1=3x *(log 8 ) / log 12
2x+1=2.5105x
x=1.96 (corr. to 3 sig. fig.)

12^2x+1=8^3x
144x+1=512x
1=368x
x=1/368
