Usually, supper is a dinner at home.
Dinner is a more official supper mostly taken in a restaurant or even in a hotel.
兩個都是晚飯, 但dinner較隆重.

Dinner
-the main meal of the day, eaten in the evening or at midday.
-a formal meal in honor of some person or occasion.

Supper
-the evening meal, often the principal meal of the day
-A light evening meal when dinner is taken at midday
-A light meal eaten before going to bed

dinner即是晚餐, 多數在6:00p,m-8:00p.m所吃的
supper即是「燒夜」多數是在晚餐後吃的,多數是在10:00p.m-12:00p.m
