why can't i log on to msn messenger?

what can i do if the dialogue box says " you cannot sign in because you are using an older version of msn messenger( i'm using 7.5) followed by the sentence "note: to upgrade msn messenger, you need to log on to this computer as a local administrator." i've checked the date and time and they're correct. what now?

i had the same problem. you must have the old version of msn messenger. you need to upgrade to the new version of messenger, also called "windows live" then you should be able to login. here's a link where you can download windows live.hope this helps!
