CPAA, ACCA, AICPA or HKICPA?????????

CPAA is CPA Australia. If you graduated from AUS university including subjects like taxation, corporation law and auditing, you can apply as an associate member.
Take 6 subjects (around 1-2 years to pass),
+3 years audit experience => CPA (Aust.)
(Can apply HKICPA after obtained CPA(Aust.) without the need to take appitude test)

ACCA is required to
Take 5 subjects
+3 years audit experience =>ACCA
(But their position in HK is getting lower, coz ACCA is not friend with HKICPA, so you cannot apply HKICPA directly)

AICPA is required to
pass 5 subjects at the same time. You have to go to US to take the test for a week...
costs a lot of money...
+2 years audit experience => AICPA
(Apply to HKICPA but need to take appitude test)

HKICPA
If you are not graduated from accounting major...such as a general BBA, you have to take a conversion course once you graduated. This conversion course should take few months to complete...and it costs around 20K (i am not quite sure...didn't take it...even my fd did take it, our audit firm paid for us...)
Take QP program, pass module A-D, and a FPE.
+3 years audit experience => HKICPA member

If you wanna practice in HK, you have to get:
HKICPA membership
+Pass a PC exam (Practical certificate) operated by HKICPA
+1 extra year of audit experience

To go to which association, depends on whether you wanna practice in HK. If no, anyone is OK. If yes, then better take CPAA or HKICPA

每個會計師公會入會都是差不多~需要個學位~~你要入的話～間間都ＯＫ～只是exemption 方面多與少的問題因為你是BBA~not specialise in account, 所以有Ｄ公會不太接受～就是說可能exempt的科目會少Ｄ～case-by-case basis...~如HKICPA~佢地會要你讀個conversion course才可以讀QP~我讀說QP最難是FPE~但是都要 depends 你的強項~如果你鍾意做workshop(上堂), 寫essay...QP is good for you.如果你鍾意做MC, CPA（Ａust)是一個很好的選擇

HKICPA QP program is best. you get your practising licence with the QP plus ICAEW membership which is worldwide recognised.
