You mean use the lan cable for your notebook connection? Just switch the cable when you use...

Or you can get "switch" or HUB to share your internet connection.

Or BUY USB wifi connector (with Access Point function), to share your Internet connect. BUT this one MUST need to switch on your desktop


*** But I still suggest you to get cheap cheap wireless rounter... the cost acound $300-$400
