香港條例 登憲報後的生效日期?

The ordinance comes into legal operation on the expiration of the day next preceding the day of such publication
next preceding = 緊接在前的
the day next preceding the day of such publication = 緊接在刊憲日前的那一日 = 星期二
expiration of the day next preceding the day of such publication = 星期二結束那一刻 = 星期三的零晨零時
所以, 條例在星期三零晨零時正式生效.
但不是每條條例都是這樣, 政府是可以在刊憲時指明條例在刊憲日後的某個特定日期才生效.

香港政府那一天把條例刊登憲報, 就是當天作為生效日期, 例如:最近政府刊憲禁止景賢里的清拆工程繼續進行, 便是宣佈那一天將會刊登憲報, 那麼屆時便生效.
