1 . The prower of ferrari 430 is huge . If it accelerates from rest along a straight lne,its maximum acceleration is about 6.5 m s^ -2 . What is the shortest time it takes to accelerate from rest to 100 km h^-1 ?
(Hints:Convert the final velocity from km h^-1 into m s^-1)

This is a standard mechanics question on consolidation
We use the following equation:
v = u + at

1.
Now, 100 kmh^-1 = 100*1000/3600 = 250/9 ms^-1
So, 250/9 = 0 + (6.5)(t)
This follows t = 500/117 = 4.27 ms^-1

Hope the above information helps you =)

acceleration = (final speed - initial speed ) / time

let t be the time needed

100 km h^-1 = 27.78 m s^-1

so,

6.5=(27.78 - 0) / t
t=4.274 second

the shortest time it takes is about 5 seconds.

hope it can help you =)
