titration problem ~

why should the solution of ammonium (II) sulphate and potassium permangate(VII) be immediately titrated ?

p.s. 1m sulphuric acid is added to ammonium (II) sulphate before titration..

Because potassium (VII) permangate will decompose when exposed to light.
1m sulphuric acid is to make the ammonium ion in acidic environment and not to react with OH ion in the solution.
