On the side of every car tire, there's a strange alphanumeric code printed, and this code tells you the important dimensions of the tire. For instance, on my car, the code reads as follows:

✔ 最佳答案
The height of the original tire = 245 * 0.55 = 13.475 cm
The radius of the original tire = (17 / 2) * 2.54 + 13.475 cm = 21.59 + 13.475 cm = 35.065 cm
The circumference of the original tire = 2 pi * radius
The circumference of the original tire = pi * 70.13 cm

The height of the new tire = 275 * 0.35 = 9.625 cm
The radius of the new tire = (20 / 2) * 2.54 + 9.625 cm = 25.4 + 9.625 cm = 35.025 cm
The circumference of the new tire = 2pi * radius
The circumference of the new tire = pi * 70.05 cm

The odometer says that the distance traveled was 100.0 miles, he actually travelled
= 100 * (The circumference of the new tire / The circumference of the original tire)
= 100 * (pi * 70.053 cm / pi * 70.13 cm)
= 99.89 miles
